Cosmic address

The ‘cosmic address’ is actually a term used in astronomy, and according to the Zeiss Planetarium in Jena, our collective cosmic address is as follows: Earth, Solar System, Milky Way, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea – this definition can be understood as a kind of ‘background radiation’ of my understanding of a cosmic address, which goes back to Ken Wilber, who popularised the concept of cosmic address in the context of his Integral Theory, but did not necessarily make it easy to understand in detail.

In short, the cosmic address describes the depth, height and breadth of a person's consciousness, including their perspectives on their own being and the entire creation, the characteristics of their ego development, their moral concepts, spiritual maturity, emotional colourings, systemic embeddedness, cognitive possibilities, behaviour, abilities and limitations, physical parameters, experiences of states and the degree of their realisation, typologies ... a complexity of the individual aspects of a human experience of being, which can be understood in part using Wilber's AQAL model.

I see the cosmic address as particularly describable in typological terms, for example with the Gene Keys and Human Design, but genetic, prenatal, transgenerational and karmic influences also come into play. I understand every human experience of existence, every human being, as a unique n-dimensional texture in the cosmic fabric, which, in my perception, corresponds to what is described in various traditions as the quantum field, the morphogenetic field, the Akashic Field or the Heavens.

From the perspective of nothingness, there is a danger of denying the experience of one's own being, with its many challenges and its light and dark aspects, with remarks such as ‘there is nothing there’ or ‘there is no one there’ – a phenomenon that can also be regarded as a form of spiritual bypassing. I have long struggled to integrate my experience of this being, especially the dark, painful parts that still influence my life, into the knowledge of nothingness and to live both as one – a challenge that I am still far from mastering: I am still often in an ‘either/or’ mode rather than a ‘both/and’ mode, and certainly not in a state of realised non-duality all the time. But after years of struggle, I now ‘know’ what that means – how it feels – from within: the phenomenology of non-duality is something that makes it worthwhile to go through all this.

Part of my own consciousness work is the increasing awareness of my own cosmic address, and it is my pleasure to support others on their journey of discovery to their own cosmic address, to an ever greater awareness of how their own being is expressed here, but also to an increasing awareness of how this being is ‘actually’ intended, how it is connected to others, and where it can and may still unfold.

A small insight into my cosmic address, the current manifestation of this Bettina being, looks like this in graphic form and is therefore, of course, very simplified – this is the state of my research into myself, with the aspects that were particularly important to me in autumn 2023, when I was deeply immersed in astrological aspects. Each of the aspects mentioned is, of course, only an external coordinate point in the cosmic fabric, the content and meaning of which for my being I am constantly trying to uncover through intensive contemplation, exchanges with friends and, occasionally, with therapeutic support.

For example, my inner work with ‘Sedna in the 12th House’ was one of the most profound insights I had in autumn 2023, which made it clear to me how the early betrayal of my physical and psychological integrity by my parents, indeed of my right to be who I am, gave rise to a deeply rooted desire in my personal being to understand myself, with the will and willingness to really ’dive deep" (Sedna as the goddess of the Arctic Sea), and ultimately to an ever more pronounced spiritual awareness and perception of other realities.
While contemplating the love languages, a typology that can be very helpful in couple relationships, I realised once again that none of the five mentioned there really applies to me – and I added a sixth language of love: insight.

And contemplating my Gene Keys remains a practice in my daily consciousness work – anyone who gets to know me personally will quickly realise that ‘truth’ (in the terminology used there) is my life's work. I would be happy to accompany you on your journey to discover your own cosmic address. This is a guided phenomenological, contemplative self-exploration of individual elements of the cosmic address, alternating with short conversations with me (30-60 minutes) every two to three weeks.

One of the basic assumptions on which I base my guidance and support is my understanding of involution and evolution.

If desired, the focus of this exploration can be solely on the experience of being, or it can also include the paradox of knowing nothingness and experiencing being at the same time.
